The Sting in the Scorpion’s Tail

Look out of your window
And what do you see?
The sting in the Scorpion’s tail;

And does it remind you of when you had me?
Say, does it remind you at all?

Love sparkled like starlight
At midnight
Erupted
In showers of passion
And ended in flame
And now it’s all over my love can’t you see
There’s a sting in the Scorpion’s tail?

Whenever I see it I’m thinking of you
And I wonder if you feel the same:
If whenever you see it you’re thinking of me
And wondering who lost the game?

Look out of your window:
The skies are still clear

And see for yourself if you will
Love’s brightest and deepest
In darkest of night:
That’s the sting in the Scorpion’s tail.

  1. Wonderful job. There’s so much emotion and that little hint of blue in all of your rather profoundly clever works. Looking forward to reading so so much more from you. Please keep writing. Peace and greetings from Sui generis 💛💛
