‘Points North’ – new #poem featured at Spillwords Press

I am honoured to have one of my poems featured at Spillwords Press today, and would like to say a big thank you to the team at Spillwords for featuring my work.

Points North

Wheels in motion and the wind
Whips around behind my ears
At the nape of my neck
In a subtle caress
And I know I’m being propelled

Along a river of life
Whose course and motion
I do not pretend to understand
Sometimes I like it when the waters
Speed me down towards a sea
Sunless and sighing

  1. Good morning Ingrid! I read your poem in the car returning home from our holiday whilst listening to the β€˜beat bugs’ and considered! Have you ever put your words to music? And not all music has to rhyme!

I think to would make an amazing lyricist, as well as a poet… just a thought! πŸ˜ƒ

    1. Actually you’re not the first person to suggest this! I think it’s a really good idea, some of the poems I write are very lyrical, so now I just need to find some musicians who need lyrics πŸ˜…

      1. Haha… just an idea, but if you knew a lovely piece of music! Just any piece quite randomly, that has no pre-written lyrics! Why not have a play around πŸ™‚
