I have already talked briefly about Lake Jasna in my post on Kranjska Gora in Summer. It’s a man-made lake at the base of the Vršič pass. The water is shallow and clear to the bed of the lake, making it perfect for fishing, swimming (in Summer) and stand-up paddling. On crisp Autumn evenings, the lake turns into a perfect mirror reflecting the mountains and the blaze of glorious colour in the trees. I wanted to do a visual post to emphasise that. Gorgeous! I’ve visited Slovenia once before by accident (believe it or not) – we were planning to go to Croatia but couldn’t make it work (because we had to be back in Italy for a wedding) so we ended up going to Slovenia instead – anyway my wife and I fell in love with the place. A pocket sized gem of a country is how I would sum it up. Thank you for sharing these images Ingrid. I really want to go back now!
