On this cold night it’s Halloween by Valdis #SonnetSunday

Alas I lay awake on this cold night
Alone and filled with mortal dread and fear
I lay forlorn and locked in frozen fright
Although the glowing moon was bright and clear

The night described of course was Halloween
With countless witches dancing wild with lust
The warlocks danced in time so cruel and mean
The force of evil spirits was their thrust

The Devils moved once more across the land
Spreading terror all around the world
And so they charged, this great and gruesome band
Proclaimed their evil cry with flags unfurled

And so at last the dismal dawn did break
The witches gone and I’m alive awake

  1. Vladis, a very scary sonnet! As darkness falls tonight, I will be looking around every corner for a band of lustful fiends, or at the very least, one demented serial killer! Happy Halloween! <3

Ingrid, I am enjoying the well-chosen music! Thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚
