Colours of November: a Cadralor

I.

Cold light at the bus station
spills into the port
crisps leaves to autumn gold

II.

Fairy lights in primary colours
fade to silver
fashions change

III.

Upon the slate-grey sea
the yearning waves
upend a tanker

IV.

Yellow for danger?
or simply a warning sign:
red is for danger

V.

All the colours of my heart
blend into this November light
windblown, standing, still.

Another Cadralor!

I was going to submit this one to Gleam Magazine, but they aren’t open for submissions at the moment, and by the time they are, this will no longer be seasonal. So I am sharing it with you: I hope you like it πŸ™‚

  1. Every time I read one of your illustrative and emotive cadralors, I want to write one! Love that this evokes the colors of fall in a descriptive way that brings November straight to my eyes.

  2. lucky us to be able to read your Cadralor here Ingrid. I would give it a 10 so consider it a win! πŸ‘πŸ‘
