Dreamers’ Delights #poetry #poem

Your eyes, the colour of the North Sea on a stormy day
your teasing smile, and all the sunshine in it

Your dreamer’s profile, tracing outlines of the blue-eyed boy
whose Artist’s hands trace pleasures without limit

Your shape, aligned with mine, in sacred sleeping
time out of mind, the rhythm of our dreaming

A short poem and a quick update!

If I have been largely absent from the blogosphere this week, it is not without good reason: I have begun work preparing Gabriela Marie Milton’s anthology Wounds I Healed: the Poetry of Strong Women for publication. This is an exciting and important collection, and it is an honour to be working on it. Please watch this space for updates, and forgive any delays in replying to comments, etc – it is going to be a busy month!
