All these signs of spring

Trees burst into blossom
and birds dance on the wing
as happiness forgotten comes
with all these signs of spring.

I ride out under billowed skies
welcome the sun, rising
while April rains wash winter pains
away, at signs of spring.

Forget-me-nots and daisies
brighten all the hedgerow’s length:
with all these signs of spring return
renewed, my hope and strength.

A time to celebrate

I can’t help but love this time of year! I am very busy with publishing projects right now, including the hotly-anticipated Re-create and Celebrate from Cindy Georgakas. Nevertheless, the poetry rises to the surface, and I have to let it out sometimes…my drafts folder is overflowing, as is my grateful heart. Happy Spring to those in the Northern Hemisphere, and remember it is a beautiful world, wherever you find yourself.

  1. Beautiful and inspiring poem and photos, Ingrid! Most spring bulbs do not grow here, but I always stop for a moment to admire the daffodils and hyacinths in our super market every spring! I love the long days of sunlight. Happy spring, Ingrid! <3

  2. Your words are always treasure troves to the heart and soul Ingrid and you never lack in beautiful imagery in your writing. Thank you for the mention! 💞🙏🏼💗
