When we moved to Slovenia in June, I started a new series of blog posts called Postcards from Slovenia. These are generally short, image-heavy posts with a little background history of the featured place. There is no particular order to them, though I think that together they form a diverse and interesting series, Slovenia being a country blessed with many varied landscapes, historical monuments and microclimates.
I have brought these postcards together in a short video which you can watch below. I’ve set it to Tori Amos’ ‘Pretty Good Year,’ because I’m lucky enough to be able to say that for all its ups and downs, for me 2020 did not turn out too bad. I have seen some beautiful sights and enjoyed sharing them on this platform. Stay tuned for more Postcards from Slovenia in 2021!
spectacular
It kind of is when you look back…thanks!
some of those shots reminded me of holidays in the Alps.
We have Alps here! Which Alps have you been to?
I meant the French Alps, although god knows how many “petite Suisse”s I’ve been to.
Well these aren’t as tall as the French Alps but they’re (mostly) less crowded!
Splendid, and it reminded me of Pendle, which I can see from my house. 😂
Lol, maybe if you squint your eyes a bit…nowt wrong wi’t’ Dales though!
Good to see you amt fergotten propper inglish!

Thank you Cheryl: Happy New Year!
What gorgeous photos! Slovenia is an incredible country, and I loved being lucky enough to visit a couple of summers ago. I wish I’d had the opportunity to properly explore all the sites – if you’re interested, I just posted on Ljubljana and Lake Bled, the latter being completely spectacular!
