The reading was given online for the Normal Public Library in Illinois. In it, she reads several poems, and talks about the inspiration behind the memoir and its distinct narrative:
Three-Penny Memories is published by EIF and available from Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble.com and selected bookstores. Barbara’s Poem, “Mom and I Play Lassos with Our Hysterectomy Scars,” was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in November 2022.

Barbara’s poetry is moving and honest. The poems form a story. I suppose that story is the memoir. The book is an achievement. Wonderful language and content. (By the way, I love Barbara’s hair in this video!)
