Thank you so much to everyone who submitted their writing and/or artwork to Issue 2 of New Lyricist Magazine. The response has been exceptional, and over the next few weeks, Nick and I will be reviewing all submissions, and writing to everyone who submitted to confirm whether they have been successful.
March is an exciting month at EIF: this morning, my poem ‘Flow’ touched down on the moon as part of NASA’s Firefly mission. You can find the full poem below. On 15 March, the latest EIF fiction publication, I Might Trust You by Sam Moe, will be released. Stay tuned for further news, including a contributor list for Issue 2 of New Lyricist!
Thank you for your continued support,
Ingrid & Nick

Flow (A Pantoum)
From sky to earth to lake to river
down, and down and ever down
rippling rills down rocks deliver
ever, never, drink to drown
down and down and ever down
in rapids, stills and ceaseless seething
ever, never drink to drown
these currents to the ocean’s breathing
in rapids, stills and ceaseless seething
life abundant, life divine
currents to the ocean’s breathing
respiration, life to time
life abundant, life divine
taken for granted becomes scarce
respiration, life to time
is stifled, dying breath in verse
taken for granted, becomes scarce
from sky to earth to lake to river
is stifled, dying breath in verse
which rippling rills down rocks deliver
