It is my pleasure to announce the forthcoming publication of my poetry retrospective, A Bracken Fern, featuring some of my favourite poems of the last five years, including many unreleased works. The collection is due for release on 5th December 2025.

Enter a landscape peopled by hungry seagulls, jellyfish and characters from local landscapes, ancient and modern.

Wilson’s world is one of contrasts, from vast wildernesses to flower-filled gardens, Warm Saharan Winds to Northern Wilds. To read this collection is to tour these diverse landscapes, and in doing so, read something of the human heart in all of them. Tracing the poet’s work over the last five years, developments and changes are inevitable, but through it all, a unifying style remains.

To anyone familiar with my work, you can expect to find many poems inspired by nature, as well as the full ‘Singing Stones’ series I have been working on over the last two years. There are also several poems about my mother, to whom the whole collection is dedicated. In the run-up to release date, I will bring you readings and reviews as a taster of what you can expect from my latest release. I hope you will enjoy everything this book has to offer!
