Another week, another seven micro-poems for Twitter! Unfortunately, PMDD hit me really hard this month, and sapped me of much of my poetic inspiration. You will notice a few poems about PMDD here. In including them, I hope to be able to reach other sufferers and raise awareness and understanding of the condition. I ended on a positive note, as I wouldn’t want this to read like a complaint from start to finish.
As ever, I appreciate any feedback you would like to give, for example your preferences, any dislikes, and even whether I should be writing micro-poetry at all (some days I wonder!) The challenge continues…
Lovely poetry. Also – you are definitely raising awareness, Ingrid! I hadn’t heard of PMDD before I met you.
Shabbat shalom,
David

Can you write a poem on avoiding โ fakenessโ on the tweeter & other social media?

Thatโs an interesting suggestion, and the first time Iโve been asked to write a poem about something specific…Iโll see what I can do…wouldnโt want to be nasty or tell others how to live, but I agree that many people project an image of themselves that is not authentic.

It is an interesting challenge to write a poem a day, but not one I would force myself to do. Often our desire to do something outweighs the need for it. I personally need to love and enjoy something to carry on with it and sometimes the love of a thing lulls a little. :)
Love the last poem; there is nothing like making it over another hill to enjoy the smooth walk down.

I know what you mean, thereโs no point doing it just to prove a point. What worries me is that by forcing myself to write every day I am losing opportunities for spontaneity.

I feel you, Ingrid! I struggle to stop doing something when I want to prove something to myself. I think I would be going in for spontaneity right about now, but that is just my two cents. :)

micro-poetry during PMS or PMDD as you call it is amazing within itself! I really like all of these, not into twater, farcebook or any of that stuff but these are realistic delightful little creations. No idea how you find the time frankly.
Last one resonates deeply … fossil fuel and first PMDD one tie for second :)

I am glad you are feeling better, Ingrid! I think you are incapable of writing a bad poem. if I tried to force myself to write when I didn’t feel like it, it would be futile. I admire your skill and your grit. <3
