A whole quarter year has passed in this Twitter Poetry Challenge. So I guess I’m not feeling as excited about #NaPoWriMo (National Poetry Writing Month) as everyone else is. But I did add it to the tags of my Twitter poems for good measure. I also gave myself a break on Wednesday (day 90) because I was feeling so tired and burnt out that I couldn’t remember what day it was (hence two poems appearing as ‘Day 88’ when the haiku should be ‘Day 89.’) I’m sure this was no great loss to poetry…
Thankfully, my #APoemADay friends picked up the baton, and the words continued to flow. I always promised myself I’d take a break if I didn’t feel up to it. Also we have just entered another lockdown here in Slovenia so I have the kids at home and am trying to juggle home schooling, housework, etc with all my writing. Here’s what I did manage to write this week:
Apologies for the bad formatting of the last two poems. If you click on the individual tweets and view in Twitter they are formatted correctly.
Wishing you a happy weekend of poetry!

Good job, Ingrid!
Ooof. to that. It’s tough!
BTW, I like Day 87 the best this week :-)

Just to be awkward, day 85 got the vote from me and my four legged pal.

I am compassionate to hear of your struggles this week, but the momentous occasion of each time you put your pen to paper (metaphorically), is a piece of courage you continuously exercise as a writer. <3

Another lockdown! No wonder you are weary. And yet, beautiful, strong, and hopeful words. (K)

congratulations Ingrid!!! I started with my daily meditation writings which went by the wayside 2 months in which I replaced with daily gratitude cards.
I’m impressed and applaud your determination. Happy poetry month!!💖

Daily gratitude cards are a good idea. Sometimes I have to write them in my head when I wake up in a bad mood!
