After the success of Halloween Sonnet Sunday, I am excited to announce that the next Seasonal Sonnet Festival will take place on 19 December 2021, and the theme will be festivity! Wherever you are in the world, and whatever seasonal festival you celebrate at this time of year, you are welcome to join in the poetic fun.
How to take part
Email your festive sonnet to me at ingrid@experimentsinfiction.com for a chance to be featured on this blog. If your sonnet is accepted, I would ask you not to publish it anywhere else until it goes live on EIF. Alternatively, you can simply post your sonnet to your own blog on the day, and link it up to the comments of this post. Please take note of the following:
- I am looking for Shakespearian Sonnets. For rules on the form, have a look at this post from Poetry Foundation.
- You can choose a seasonal festival as your theme, or, if you’re not feeling particularly festive, you can write a poem about the upcoming solstice as an alternative.
- If you are linking up, please mention EIF Sonnet Sunday in your post, and link back to this post, or tag EIF Sonnet Sunday.
I look forward to reading your sonnets! If you take part, be sure to read and comment on other sonnets in order to spread the festive cheer.
Season’s Greetings,
Ingrid

Hi ingrid. I have a Festive Sonnet ready to submit, but couldn’t get Ingrid@experimentsinfiction.com or the contact form to work. The address on this site is not clickable. Don’t know if the trouble may be on my end. <3 Thanks
Oh no! I’ll have to check that out because it should be working. Please use experimentsinfiction@protonmail.com. Thank you for taking part 😊
Outlook wants me to have a paid subscription and wouldn’t let me click above. Looks like th trouble is on my end. Sorrry.
Don’t worry! Is it ok if you use the old email address?
Thanks. i will try that.
Thank you Ingrid. I will have to address the problem tomorrow. I never heard of an email that wouldn’t let you send an email. I am sorry to waste your time. <3
I have your sonnet now! Thank you so much ❤️
I keep trying to reply but not working for me. I love this idea Ingrid
