An Exciting Update on ‘Wounds I Healed’…

I continue to prepare the manuscript of Wounds I Healed: The Poetry of Strong Women for publication, with the editorial expertise of Amazon #1 bestselling poet Gabriela Marie Milton.

Both Gabriela and I were deeply moved by the poetry of the many talented contributors to this anthology. We have added our thoughts on the book as a preface to the collection. Here are some snippets, to give you an idea of the emotional impact of the work:

The poems in this book are poems of substance regardless of their form. They grab you by the throat.  They scream listen to me. They bring you to your knees.  They inscribe on each page – with a multiplicity of voices coming from all sexes – the astonishing power women have. They are exceptional poems.

Gabriela Marie Milton, Editor

I cannot overstate what an important collection of poems this volume represents. To read these poems is to undertake an emotional journey: through the dark depths of physical and psychological abuse, via the perils of chronic illness and the pains of pregnancy loss, crossing all manner of nightmare landscapes to emerge into the serene pastures of healing and recovery.

Ingrid Wilson, Publisher

We are on schedule to have the book ready for publication in early June, but much hard work now lies ahead in order to achieve this. I want to say a huge thank you to all who have offered their support and words of encouragement thus far! Please continue to share news of the book on social media. If you know any women’s groups who may be interested in promoting the work, please contact me via email: ingrid@experimentsinfiction.com. Watch this space for further updates…
