‘Wounds I Healed’ Reaches U.K. Bookstores!

As a writer, you never forget the first time you see your words in print. Similarly, as a publisher, I will never forget the first time I saw one of my publications on display in an actual, physical bookstore. There is an authenticity and immediacy about it, which you don’t get from seeing your book for sale online, although this remains an invaluable sales channel for booksellers, authors and publishers worldwide.

Wounds I Healed on display in New Releases!

I got in touch with the manager of my local bookstore, something of an institution in my hometown, and was delighted when she said they would stock the title, no doubt impressed by its having topped the Amazon New Releases Bestseller Charts for over a week (we are still Number 1 New Release in Poetry Anthologies at the time of writing!)

Still Number 1 – Thank You!

So yesterday I headed down there with my newly-arrived copies of the book, and watched as they stocked the ‘New Release’ shelves with my title. I say ‘my title,’ but of course this is Gabriela’s book, Nick’s artwork, and also the work of each and every author whose poems are included within it. I heartily congratulate all of you, and will continue working to bring this book to a larger audience. The greater part of success lies in believing you can.

Wishing you a wonderful week ahead,
Ingrid

  1. Well done Ingrid The “Book” looks completely at home in the bookstore, and do you, with your lovely smile of satisfaction ..

      1. I know. Thank you! I updated my most recent post- asking readers to come to your page to see the book in the bookstore. Then I reposted. I can see the updates if I go to my site but not in the reader. I will have to post again. Sending lots of love 🌹

  2. How splendid to read these reflective thoughts on how emotional and amazing it is to see one’s book in a bookstore! I know just how you feel when you refer to Wounds I Healed as “mine.” Surely everyone in the book feels the same, at some level. 🙂

  3. It’s Beyond Exciting Ingrid! I couldn’t be happier for you, G, Nick, us and and the world. This is soooo needed. Loving the poems as I read them one by one and take them into my psyche.!!!
I sooo love being after the African queen Maropeng Flora Gama who I heard read and I loved her work. It’s an honor and I’m thrilled. Congratulations!!
