New Release, ‘The Table’ + New Lyricist Announcement!

Today, I am excited to announce the release of the debut single by indie duo Travel Sweets. ‘The Table’ is a yearningly beautiful ballad by Nick Reeves. You can listen to the track and watch the video on the EIF YouTube Channel:

Introducing Travel Sweets

As a child, I always dreamed of being in a band. I play piano, guitar and sing, all three things none too well. However, when Nick, being a seasoned performer and accomplished musician, asked me to sing backing vocals on this track, I could not refuse! So we became Travel Sweets. We had been playing with this idea for some time, actually, as we had the look long before we had the music (see photo).

New Lyricist publication date announced!

I am also excited to announce that the first issue of New Lyricist magazine will be released on 15 June 2024, timed to coincide with the Cullercoats Festival 2024, at which Nick and I will be reading (and perhaps even performing!) More about this in the weeks to come.

For those of you waiting to hear about prose and artwork submissions, my apologies: I am now back from a much-needed break, and will get back to you with a decision by the end of this week.
