I’m happy to announce that the Kindle version of A Bracken Fern, Selected Poems 2020-2025 is now available to pre-order from Amazon. If you want to pre-order the paperback, you can do so from Waterstones.com. The paperback version will also be on sale on Amazon from 5th December.
More About the Book

This book is dedicated to the memory of my mother, Elizabeth Mary Clare Stake (nΓ©e Wilson). She was a beautiful woman, who died much too soon. I still find it hard to write about her, but have written several poems in her honour. Those included in the book are:
Brown into Green
Poem on your Birthday
My Father’s Garden
Do Not Look for Me There
There are several other poems which were inspired by her life and struggles, or make reference to my bereavement. These are:
Bear Witness
Windswept
Heiress
Park Broom
In addition, many of the poems are concerned with the search for solace in times of grief, through the recognition and acceptance of the cycle of life. The poem which gives the book its title is no exception.
I could say more, but I’ll leave the poems to speak for themselves. Looking forward to launch day on 5th of December!

Wonderful news, poet and publisher! I’m so excited for you and proud of you! ππ»
Is the paperback pre-order an option for those living in the states? I’m not familiar with Waterstones. Curious about exploring this option.
