As I prepare for launch day on 5th December, I bring you another reading from my forthcoming collection, A Bracken Fern: Selected Poems 2020-2025. I have chosen the poem ‘Persephone’ as it is well suited to the time of year. I know that many people enjoy the long, dark nights, but I am not one of those people. Though I try to make the best of them, I always look forward to spring. ‘Persephone’ was first published in Issue IV of Free Verse Revolution, way back in 2021.
I am also pleased to announce that A Bracken Fern is now available for pre-order in paperback from Barnes & Noble, for those who might be interested in ordering outside of Amazon. The proofs are all ready, and I am excited to receive my author copies before going to press!

What a gorgeous reading of your exquisite poem Ingrid! Thank you for sharing it. How exciting that A Bracken Fern will soon be released. I am sure it will be a “breath of spring,” bringing joy to the long dark days of winter. Even Persephone would be comforted!
I congratulate you on how well you look! Wishing you health and happiness! π
