The Sultan’s got his hat on,
(Hip-hip-hip, hooray!)
his presidential hat on
at the conference today
And we’ve all got the gas on
that’s how it’s going to stay
it’s freezing here, but have no fear
the heat is on its way…
If all developed nations
can have their wicked way
they’ll get the poorer nations
hooked on oil and gas – hooray!
There’s no conflict of interest,
no – what a thing to say!
The Sultan’s head of oil as well
as this conference – hooray!
100 million barrels
could seal our fate today
we’re all so very happy
for the Sultan’s saved the day!
The Sultan’s got his hat on,
(Hip-hip-hip, hooray!)
his presidential hat on
at the conference today!

I love the smell of sarcasm in the morning! So, COP 28 has put the fox in charge of the hen house, eh?

It would seem so, Liz! Thank you – it’s the only means of protest I have, but they say the pen is mightier than the sword…

You’re welcome, Ingrid. Let’s hope the pen of mockery is mightier than the sword of greed.

I love the sarcasm (and Liz’s comment). It does seem a very odd decision to hold the conference there (well, money, power, I know . . .)
