Like This, a Poem about #PMDD

How can I go on
Like this
I sometimes wonder
How can I go on
At all
When my body
Throws me curveballs
And nobody
Can be asked to understand
The demons that exist
Inside of me
Though only temporarily
They torment me
So I lose myself
For whole days at a time
And one day’s damage
Can’t be easily undone
In fourteen
When it begins again
When seemingly it wins again
Again again so my head spins
Without an end
But this can’t be
The end of me.
PMDD
PMDD
Perhaps another sufferer
Can understand
Let this be hope to you
Light faith and strength to you
I’ll say a prayer for you
And you for me
That one day we will beat this
Yes one day we will beat this
And be free

  1. I have heard of the intensity of this pain! Though physically I cannot share in its feeling! My heartfelt admiration on your fight throughout its disability. Respect to you.
