Archery In The UK: Release Date 1 February 2023!

Happy New Year to all of my readers! I wish you all the success and wellbeing you hope for in 2023. For me, there is no better way to start the New Year than with the announcement that Archery In The UK will be released on 1 February 2023.

About the book

I have always loved lyric poetry, and Lyrical Ballads by Wordsworth and Coleridge has long been one of my favourite poetry collections. Likewise, I have long admired Nick Reeves‘ poetic style and bold lyricism, so I asked him to collaborate with me on a project to write a contemporary homage to Lyrical Ballads. We set out with this aim, but soon found the poems we were composing had a life and spirit of their own. Yes, they were mostly lyrical. Yes, some were ballads: but the overarching narrative of the collection itself was something profound, and of its own making. Such is the power of poetry.

Advance reviews have been encouraging. Barbara Harris Leonhard writes, “If you are you looking for a poetry collection that will put a huge smile on your face, this is the book for you. Ingrid Wilson and Nick Reeves have created a book of contemporary lyrical poetry, the likes of which I haven’t seen.” And Elizabeth Gauffreau describes it as “a lesson in reading and experiencing poetry.” I look forward to revealing more, and taking part in various promotional activities in the run-up to the release date. Stay tuned for updates!
